ISLAMIC, Mongols. Ilkhanids. Sati Beg, AH 739 / AD 1338-1339. Fals (Bronze, 19 mm, 1.86 g, 7 h), Mardin, Khani 38 = AH 739 = AD 1338/9. Sun-Face within octafoil; in outer margin, date and mint. Rev. 'al-Sultana / Sati Beg / khallada mulkahu' ('Sultan [female form] Sati Beg, may her Kingdom perpetuate' in Arabic) within dotted circle; in outer margin, part of Kalima. Album D2233.1. Struck somewhat off center, otherwise, very fine.
