ISLAMIC, Seljuks. Rum. Rukn al-Din Sulayman II, AH 592-600 / AD 1196-1204. Dirham (Bronze, 34 mm, 7.33 g, 6 h), Qunya, AH 595 = AD 1198/9. Facing horseman, nimbate, riding to right and holding three-forked scepter; behind six-pointed star. Rev. in inner field, legend in Kufic in three lines; around, legend in Kufic. Broome 57, Izmirlier 101. Well struck and attractive. Struck from a somewhat worn reverse die, otherwise, good very fine.
