Gordian III, 238-244. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 30 mm, 18.77 g, 11 h), Rome, 244. IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gordian III to right, seen from behind. Rev. VICTORIA AETER / S - C Victory standing left, holding palm frond in her left hand and placing her right on shield set on captive. Cohen 351. RIC 337a. Well struck on a full flan and with a beautiful brown patina. Very light doubling, otherwise, very fine.
