Caracalla, Caesar, 196-198. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 3.48 g, 1 h), Laodicea, 200-201. ANTONINVS AVGVSTVS Laureate and cuirassed bust of Caracalla to right, breastplate decorated with gorgoneion. Rev. VIRT AVGG Virtus standing front, head to left, holding Victory on globe in her right hand and inverted spear in her left. BMC 710 var. (differing bust type). Cohen 664 var. (differing bust type).
