★ An attractive sestertius of Antoninus Pius with a beautiful green patina ★

Antoninus Pius, 138-161. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 30 mm, 21.37 g, 12 h), Rome, 154-155. ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P TR P XVIII Laureate head of Antoninus Pius to right, with slight drapery on both shoulders. Rev. LIBERTAS COS IIII / S - C Libertas standing front, head to left, holding pileus in her right hand and long scepter in her left. BMC 1963. Cohen 543 var. (differing bust type). RIC 929 var. (drapery on far shoulder only). A very attractive example with beautiful light green patina. Minor breaks in patina, otherwise, good very fine.
