While the reverse of this issue proclaims a Spartan heritage of the Ambladeans (ΛAKЄΔAIMONIⲰN), the meaning of the term APT ΦΙΛO (sometimes APTEMIΔ ΦΙΛO) is disputed. It could either be the name of a magistrate, or an honorary title of the citizens of Amblada ('friends of Artemis').
