KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 29 mm, 17.00 g, 11 h), Arados, CY 25 = 235/4. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. [AΛ]EΞANΔP[OY] Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, palm tree; below throne, monogram of AP; in exergue, Aramaic legend. Price 3372. Very rare. Light marks, otherwise, nearly very fine.
