CELTIC, Central Europe. Helvetii. Late 2nd to early first century BC. Scyphate Stater (Gold, 23 mm, 6.52 g, 1 h). Celticized laureate head of Apollo to right within crescent border. Rev. Celticized charioteer driving biga to left; below, crescent ornament; all in shallow incuse. Allen, SNR 53 (1974), 90-91. DT 3074. LT 8922. SLM 846-846. A well centered example. Very fine.
