★ Very rare and in exceptional condition for the issue ★

CELTIC, Central Europe. Helvetii. Late 2nd to early 1st century BC. 1/4 Stater (Electrum, 15 mm, 1.56 g, 2 h), 'à la lyre' type. Celticized laureate head of Apollo with curly hair to right. Rev. Celticized charioteer driving biga to right; below, lyre (or standard?); behind, wheel; all within shallow round incuse. Allen, SNR 53 (1974), -. DT 3082. HMZ 1-13. LT 8930. SLM -. Very rare and in exceptional condition for the issue. A well struck and very well centered example of lovely style. Good very fine.
