PADUAN MEDALS. Julius Caesar, 49-44 BC. 'Medallion' (Bronze, 36 mm, 23.28 g, 7 h), by Giovanni di Cavino (1500-1570), a later aftercast. C•CAESAR DICT PERPETVO Laureate head of Julius Caesar to right. Rev. Crossed fasces and caduceus; axe, clasped hands, globe and LEVCA around. Johnson & Martini 1247. Klawans 3. Edge split and some deposits, otherwise, very fine.
