ITALY. Sicilia (Regno). Ruggero II, 1130-1154. Tarì (Gold, 12 mm, 1.22 g), Palermo. Pellet in circle; around circle, 'al-malik Rujar al-mu‘tazz billah' ('The king Ruggero exalted in God' in Kufic); in outer margin, mint and date in Kufic. Rev. Cruciform scepter between IC - XC and NI-KA; in outer margin, mint and date in Kufic. Friedberg 877. Spahr 63. Struck on an irregular flan. very fine.
