ISLAMIC, Persia (Post-Mongol). Safavids. Tahmasp I, AH 930-984 / AD 1524-1576. 1/2 Shahi (Silver, 15 mm, 2.14 g, 2 h), Barfurushdih, not dated, circa AH 954-959 = AD 1547/8-1551/2. Album 2602. The obverse struck somewhat off center, otherwise, good very fine.
Barfurushdid, the name of the mint, is placed within the elegantly rendered teardrop cartouche on the reverse.
