ISLAMIC, 'Abbasid Caliphate. Uncertain period. Bracteate (Silver, 31 mm, 2.13 g, 12 h), uncertain mint, after 9th century. Kufic legend in inner field and outer margin. Rev. Incuse of obverse. A highly unusual and interesting piece, perhaps an amulet. Edge chipped, otherwise, very fine.
