PERSIA, Achaemenid Empire. Time of Darios I, circa 520-505 BC. Siglos (Silver, 13 mm, 5.35 g), Lydo-Milesian standard, Sardes. Half-length bust of Persian king or hero to right, holding arrows in his right hand and bow in his left. Rev. Rectangular incuse punch. BMC Arabia pl. XXVII, 25. Carradice Type I (pl. XI, 10). Sunrise 17. Nicely toned. Nearly very fine.
