ISLANDS OFF ATTICA, Aegina. Circa 350-338 BC. Drachm (Silver, 20 mm, 5.63 g, 11 h), Ni..., magistrate. A-I Land tortoise with segmented shell. Rev. Incuse square divided by skew-pattern into five compartments; in upper left section, N; in upper right, I; in lower right, dolphin. HGC 6, 445. Milbank pl. III, 6 var. (dolphin in lower left section). SNG Copenhagen Suppl. 265 var. (dolphin in lower left section). A very rare variety. Beautifully toned. Somewhat porous and with faint scratches, otherwise, very fine.
