ITALY. Sicilia (Regno). Ruggero II, 1130-1154. Tarì (Gold, 12 mm, 1.00 g), Palermo. Pellet in circle; around circle, 'al-malik Rujjar al-mu‘tazz billah' ('The king Ruggero exalted in God' in Kufic). Rev. Cruciform scepter between IC - XC and NI-KA; in outer margin, mint and date in Kufic. Friedberg 877. Spahr 63. A well struck example. About extremely fine.
