ISLAMIC, 'Abbasid Caliphate. temp. Al-Mutawakkil, AH 232-247 / AD 847-861. Dirham (Silver, 26 mm, 3.64 g, 7 h), citing the caliph al-Mutawakkil 'ala Allah and the heir apparent, al-Mu'tazz billah, Isbahan, AH 234 = AD 848/9. SICA IV, 58. Rare and lightly toned. Minor edge crack, otherwise, good very fine.
