Hemidrachm (Silver, 24 mm, 1.81 g, 7 h), citing the governor of Tabaristan, Khalid (AH 148-154 = AD 766-771), Tabaristan, PYE 119 = AH 153 = AH 770. Crowned and draped Sasanian-style bust to right; behind head, AFZUT GDH ('may his kingship increase' in Pahlawi); before head, 'HALIT' in Pahlawi; in outer margin, APD ('excellent' in Pahlawi). Rev. Sasanian fire altar set on three steps, flanked by two attendants standing facing; to left, date; to right, mint TPURSTAN ('Tabaristan' in Pahlawi). Album 54. SICA I, -.
