Description
THRACE. Byzantium. Pseudo-autonomous issue. Hemiassarion (Orichalcum, 15 mm, 2.66 g, 1 h), circa 150-200. Bearded head of Poseidon to right. Rev. BYZANTIΩN Dolphin coiling around spear-headed inverted trident. Schönert-Geiss, Byzantion, 1987 (V6/-). A beautiful coin with a bold head of Poseidon and attractive orichalcum surfaces. Thin flan crack, otherwise, good very fine.
