SAMARIA. 'Middle Levantine' Series. Circa 375-333 BC. Obol (Silver, 11 mm, 0.73 g, 4 h). From the Canaan Collection. Rev. Forepart of a horse to right; to left, 𐡔𐡌𐡓𐡉𐡍 ('šmryn' in Aramaic). Meshorer & Qedar 75. Sofaer 46. Rare and nicely toned. The obverse struck somewhat off center, otherwise, very fine.
