KINGS OF ARMENIA. Artaxias I, 190-160 BC. Chalkous (Bronze, 12 mm, 1.38 g, 12 h), first series, with Aramaic legends. Head of Artaxias I to right, bearded and wearing five-pointed tiara decorated with a star and tied with a diadem. Rev. 𐡌𐡋𐡁𐡏 - 𐡏𐡓𐡕𐡇𐡔𐡎𐡂 ('rthṣsy mlk' in Aramaic) Dog standing right. Kovacs 44. Very rare. Somewhat rough, otherwise, very fine.
