Description
New Kingdom, c. 1504-1075 B.C. Steatite scarab (17x13mm). Base engraved with the cartouche of Tuthmosis III preceded by the epithet ‘chosen of Amun-Ra’. Light chip, otherwise intact, pierced for mounting. For a similar piece cf. Sotheby's 1993, 529. From an American Collection formed in the 1990’s.
