Second Intermediate Period, c. 1650-1550 B.C. Steatite scarab (18x12mm). Base engraved with a an elaborate design probably representing the union of upper and lower Egypt, with lotus buds. Light chip at base, once glazed, pierced for mounting. Cf. Rowe 198. From an American Collection formed in the 1990’s.
