A Breast Star of the Order, 76 mm, with chiselled and pierced rays; large centre medallion in gold with the applied Order’s cross in gold and enamels; chiselled ring and lobed outer circlet with thin, chiselled, golden beams; applied, flaming heart in gold with bright-red, translucent enamel, green details and orange-red enameled flames with rising, black enameled cross.The reverse with maker’s escutcheon of Gustave Wolfers, Brussels, round pin and two side-hooks. A piece of great rarity for the manufacturer, very high quality and extremely fine condition. I R!
