Order of St. Yago of the Sword
A sash badge of the 94x57 mm, oval, gilt silver medallion, on both sides with white enameled
centre with applied the Order’s cross in gold and red enamel, within green enamelled palms and
a white scroll below, with golden inscription “SCIENCIAS; LETRAS E ARTES”, surmounted by a golden
star with white enamelled details, charged with the red enamlled Christ’s sacred heart; upper loop
chiselled with acanthus leaves, round suspension and ribbon ring; with a sector of the original, red
sash, in original damaged case of issue.
A beautiful, imposing pendant, excellent condition. I R!
