War Order “Virtuti Militari”
A 5th Class badge of the order, 40x39 mm, Silver; the obverse, with black enameled order’s motto and also black enameled borders; centre medallion in gold with white enamelled polish eagle within green
enamelled laurel wreath; the reverse with the arms engraved with “S A R P”, centre medallion in
two-colour gold, with dark-blue enamelled “Lithuanian Knight” above the date “1792”, the whole
within green enamelled laurel leaves (losses to the green enamel; spherical suspension and grooved
ribbon ring; with original ribbon.
An attractive, rare decoration of this important, military order; extremely fine condition. I R!
