enameled details, the centre with the image of the Virgin and the Child
Jesus Christ in the finest enamel work, within a white enameled circlet
with inscription, reverse medallion with royal monogram “G II ” (for King
George II), hinged crown suspension and original ribbon; in the original,
dark blue case of issue with the Virgin embossed in gold on the lid and the maker s mark of Kelaidis, Athens, printed on the inner cushion. Very elegant badge in best condition! I R!
