Order of the Phoenix
A Grand Cross set with Swords (2nd type, from 1941): badge, 86x61 mm,
in gilt Silver and white enamel, smooth reverse, applied centre medallion
with the king’s monogram, with original sash; breast star, 84 mm, in Silver
with smooth rays, superimposed with gilt phoenix, resting on crossed
swords, gilt crown fixed to the upper ray; reverse with broad pin (struck
with “EME” mark of Anagnostopulos, Athens) and two hooks.
A very rare class of this order, created in 1936, very fine condition and nicely toned. I RR!
