Engraved title vignette by James Green; finely engraved unsigned dedication vignette; iv, (2) pages; full complement of 23 engraved plates of coins depicting ancient Greek, Roman and English coins; one leaf (pages 123–124) with numismatic text engravings. Minor spotting; corner bump; very good or better. The plates recording the collection belonging to the Bodleian at the time, beginning with the ancient Greek and Roman coins but also including Celtic, Anglo-Saxon, Anglo-Gallic, English, Scottish and Irish coins. The author was a well-known antiquary and served as the Radcliffe Librarian at Oxford.
