The two plates mostly depict rare Hard Times tokens, along with two 1793 cents, a few rare United States silver coins, and a few other tokens. In a lengthy introduction to the Hard Times token section, Woodward provides previously unpublished background information on the manufacture of the series and, for the first time ever, provides illustrations for many of the tokens.
