Superb frontispiece portrait of Murdoch; approximately 750 pages; 5386 lots; 85 very fine autotype plates of coins, medals and tokens. Hand-priced throughout, with occasional names and other annotations and additions. The 4–5 May 1903 catalogue of Murdoch’s collection of English porcelain and art is also bound in. The plates of the first part of the medal sale, printed at a slightly larger size, are very slightly trimmed in a few places. Else very good or better. The complete series of eight numismatic Murdoch sales, one of the most important collections of English coins and medals ever formed.
