Kroh pages 13 and 14 (four stars): “This is by far technically the finest product of the entire SNG series and perhaps the best specialized collection ever published. The Edoardo Levante collection consists of 1,861 coins exclusively from Cilicia in Asia Minor.” The Supplement adds a further 435 coins. The second volume is Daehn 2012: “Publishes 3084 coins, with an emphasis on Roman Provincial mints.” A Note from the Collector: Edo Levante, a Gentleman Collector in the real sense of the words was one of the kindest, more generous and charming coin friends this collector ever had. He also was a gifted storyteller and one never had enough of his company. Von Aulock, then living in Constantinople, was his mentor. Edo, a beginner at the time, would visit often and ask for advice. On one occasion Von Aulock told him not to make the same mistake as he had done, collecting a wide range of areas, instead, concentrate in one region. And this advice was followed meticulously, the result being the superb SNG Cilicia.
