A handsome production, issued in a limited edition of three volumes, comprising the best edition of Boutin’s work, describing in detail and illustrating 4630 European ancient Greek coins (including 1500 magnificent bronzes and 1000 silver coins in addition to those auctioned in 1921), along with an excellent reprint of the 1921 auction sale. Based on the work of Adolphe Dieudonné, who had catalogued some 2800 of Pozzi’s Greek coins of the European series and had prepared the 202 plates, the descriptive catalogue was completed by Serge Boutin.
