Dardel, West & Co., and J. Basire, illustrating all 281 coins described. Moderate foxing; binding rubbed. Very good or better. Complete and rarely encountered. Based on the author’s magnificent collection of Greek coins, which was acquired en bloc by the Berlin cabinet. Babelon 176: “The publication of previously unrecorded coins from General Fox’s collection placed first class coins on each and every square of the chessboard of Greek numismatics.” Daehn 2043: “A monograph publishing 281 selected rare Greek coins from the author’s collection, beginning with Massalia in France and extending to the Island of Siphnos.
