Daehn 4701: “Presents a catalogue of the coins found during the excavations conducted by the Archaeological Expedition of the University of Cincinnati, 1932–1938. Discusses the historical background and coinage of the mints of Ilium and Alexandria Troas from the earliest coinage in the fourth century B.C. through the Roman period. Catalogues the 575 identified coins including Greek, Seleucid, and Roman Provincial issues, as well as a hoard of 218 Roman antoniniani found during excavations. Includes some coins from minor mints in the region. Also presents a discussion of the currency of the Troad during the Hellenistic and Roman periods. Includes indices to mints, rulers, and types, and a table of monograms.”
