The plate volume for the above text volume, with 28 mounted fine plates of ancient Greek coins. The first two plates are mounted photocopies, while the rest are mounted originals. 3. Acquisitions from 1901 to 1924: includes acquisition reports published in the Numismatic Chronicle dated 1901, 1902, 1903, 1905–1910, 1911–1912, 1913, 1914–1916, 1917–1918, 1919, 1920, 1921, 1922, 1923 and 1924. 4. The plate volume for the above text volume, with 31 mounted fine plates of ancient Greek coins. 5. Acquisitions from 1925 to 1974: includes acquisition reports published in the Numismatic Chronicle dated 1925, 1926, 1927, 1928, 1929, 1930–1931, 1933–1934, 1935–1936, 1938–1948, (1955), 1959, and 1971. Also included are: Acquisitions 1941–1950 (published by the British Museum); reports dated 1953, 1960 and 1963–1964 from the British Museum Quarterly; and “Recent Acquisitions of Greek Coins by the British Museum,” from Archaeological Reports for 1973–1974. 6. The plate volume for the above text volume, with 29 mounted fine plates of ancient Greek coins. Most of the individual publications are extracts; a smaller number are offprints. Six volumes, total. 8vo, tan quarter morocco; spines with two (text) or four (plates) raised bands, lettered in black. Spines rubbed, else near fine. A remarkable series, rarely appreciated as such. Having them bound together in this fashion allows one to trace the development of the British Museum’s collections, particularly in the years since the publication of the relevant volumes of the BMC.
