Text illustrations throughout, with fine plates, some tinted. Final issue with worn spine; else generally near fine. A rich source of information, with numerous important articles by Ramsden and others in English and Japanese. A well-produced and important periodical, rarely offered. Volume II, Nos. 4 and 5 include a two-part article by Ramsden on the high value Tu Duc coinage of Annam. Howard Franklin Bowker was a well-known Western specialist in Asian numismatics, and author of A Numismatic Bibliography of the Far East: A Check List of Titles in European Languages, published by the ANS in 1943.
