Eben Moulton ran two ads for Washington funeral medals made by Jacob Perkins in this issue of the Centinel, much of which is given over to accounts of the many memorial services, funerary processions and other public observances of the death of Washington. Page 3 features an ad “For the Ladies,” offering “Washington medals, designed to be put in Lockets, &c. executed by Mr. Perkins...” The next page includes an ad for “Gold, Silver, and Metal MEDALS of the late General WASHINGTON, commemorating his public Life and Death; designed and executed by Mr. Perkins.”
