Very good or better. Page 114 (second column) includes the following: “Gold medals of Captain Cook are preparing by order of the Royal Society, to be given as follows. 1. To his Majesty, the great patron of the voyages. 2. To the King of France, for his generous order that the expedition should not be interrupted by any of his cruisers. 3. To the Empress of Russia. 4. Mrs. Cook. 5. The President of the Royal Society. Silver ones are to be struck for the Fellows, and then the dies are to be broken.”
