Small 4to, contemporary or slight later matching maroon half morocco, gilt, with marbled sides; spines with five raised bands, ruled and lettered in gilt; marbled endpapers; all edges red. 567, (1) pages + titles and preliminary text to the various parts; finely illustrated throughout. Only slight rub to lower extremities. A fine set. A beautifully bound set of the original edition. Still the indispensable standard reference on this captivating series.
