Sixteen of the twenty-one volumes published of this notable periodical, which covered the entire range of numismatics, from ancient coins to then-current United States and foreign issues. Starting with Whole Number 141, issued January–February 1952, the Journal essentially ceased being a house organ with varied content and each of the remaining issues comprises a stand-alone monograph.
