This French translation, by Jean Babelon, of Die griechische Münze is not noted by Grierson. It retains the same magnificent illustrations found in the original 1964 German edition and also the English version of this indispensable work—Kraay & Hirmer’s Greek Coins—published as well in 1966. Of the three, this edition appears to be the least available. A landmark work in numismatic book illustration, filled with useful and important information. Clain-Stefanelli 1824.
