Nepal Military Long Service Good Conduct Medal 1966
Circular bronze medal with double kukri and fixed ribbon bar suspension; the face with a map of the administrative divisions of Nepal, the Royal Headdress above, the six-pointed star with the trident of the Royal Armed Forces imposed centrally; the reverse inscribed ‘Sainik Sev? Padaka’ in Nepali script and dated ‘2023’ below (B.S. 2023 = A.D. 1966); on original ribbon. The medal was instituted on 25 December 1966 by King Mahendra and awarded to military for 10 years’ long service and good conduct. Following the abolition of the Nepalese monarchy in June 2008, the Medal is no longer awarded and is not often found. Condition II.
