China Taiwan Aeronautical Order of Rejuvenation, 3rd Class 1927
Five-pointed star, each arm with three bifurcated rays of red, white and red enamel, all with green enamel bases, with gilt pairs of wings between the arms, with loop for ribbon suspension; the face with a circular central blue enamel medallion bearing a central gilt rosette and five monoplane aircraft, their noses pointing towards the rosette, the lower arm of the star with a five-pointed red star; the reverse plain; on what our research indicates is an incorrect ribbon; with ribbon bar. The Order was instituted on 3 December 1927 and is Taiwan’s highest-ranking aeronautical order. It is awarded in three grades, the 3rd grade, as in this example, for flying 200 missions with 600 hours’ flying time. The Order is sometimes referred to as the ‘Order of Honour of Renaissance’ – it is largely a matter of linguistic taste in translation. Condition III.
