KM# 56, Pagani 708 RR. Vittorio Emanuele III (1900-1946) 5 Lire (Quadriga briosa) 1914 Rome Mint. Silver, 25g, 37 mm. PCGS MS63. Iconic 5 Lire 1914 Engraved By the Legendary A. Motti. Designed by Davide Calandra and engraved by Attilio Silvio Motti. An iconic and exceptional design, very much in demand and of the highest artistic quality. Lovely light gray toning caresses the reverse design of an armored female figure (Roma?) driving a quadriga. Tied with five other pieces in this grade, with only two others graded higher across both NGC and PCGS.
