Judaea. Herod the Great, 40-4 BC. AE 8 Prutot.
24 mm. Weight: 7.51 gm.
Dated year 3, 38-37 BC.
Obverse: Military helmet, facing, with cheek pieces and straps, star above flanked by two palm branches.
Reverse: Tripod, ceremonial bowl (lebes) above, date LГ and monogram TP in field left and right.
Good very fine.
