Die Benennung des Quai Desaix an der Pariser Seine (heute Quai Branly) ging auf Louis Charles Antoine Desaix (1768-1800) zurück, chevalier de Veygoux und Général de division, der sich vor allem bei der Rheinarmee und in Ägypten auszeichnete.
