Clay Collection; acquired in April 1997 from a group of generally poor ancient coins stated to have been purchased in Turkey. Apparently only the second known specimen of this Equestrian statue type on an As of Septimius Severus dated TR P XIIII = 206 AD. The other known specimen, from the same pair of dies, is in the Copenhagen collection.. F
