Constantine I; 307-337 AD, Antioch, c. 330-5 AD, Reduced Follis, 2.82g. Cf. RIC-86 ("rosette diadem"), officina A=1 (c2). Obv: CONSTANTI - NVS MAX AVG Bust draped, cuirassed r., seen from front, wearing diadem of dotted squares alternating with pairs of laurel leaves. Rx: GLOR - IA EXERC - ITVS Two soldiers standing, two standards between them, SMANA in exergue. RIC VII pp. 88-91, probably just by oversight, records no diadem type like that on our coin, composed of dotted squares alternating with pairs of laurel leaves. Mint State
