The obverse of this coin shows a very rare draped and cuirassed bust type resting on a globe, appearing here for the first time on a sestertius of Trajan. Woytek knew this type on a single obverse die for aurei, but on no silver or bronze coins; see his Type ff, p. 79, pl. III.Wonderful jade-green patination, with smooth, flawless surfaces. EF
